1. How to Install WordPress Plugin from Search Box?
You can login to your WordPress Dashboard adding /wp-admin after your domain name in your web browser. e.g. www.youwebsite.com/wp-admin.
After login you need to hover mouse pointer on Plugins at the left side and click on Add new.
You will see some of the featured plugins in the screen. You can use the search box at the right side to find the plugins we want to install.
In the example, we are installing WordPress SEO plugins. Type Yoast SEO in the search box at the right. You will find the plugin at the beginning. Click on Install Now button. Installation completed in few seconds and you will see the button to activate. Click on Activate.

2. How to Install WordPress Plugin using Upload Button?
WordPress allow you to installed plugins using Upload button in your admin panel. Generally upload button are used to install paid plugins that are purchased from another website which are not listed in the WordPress directory.
Paid or premium plugins needs to download and install using Upload button from your WordPress dashboard.
If you have purchased the plugins from another website then you need to download it first. Plugins will be downloaded in zip file format.
Once downloaded login to WordPress admin panel. Hover a mouse pointer on Plugins and click on Add New button.
You will see Upload Plugins button at the top. Click on Upload plugin then Choose File button.
Now, you need to select the plugin that you have downloaded in your computer. In this example, we have kept the plugin on the desktop. Choose the plugin and click on Open button.
You can see the plugin ready to install in your WordPress site. Click on Install Now button to continue.
It will take few minute to complete the installation. Once completed click on Activate Plugin button.
3. How to Install WordPress Plugin Manually using FTP?
Some WordPress hosting companies restrict installing plugin using Upload button. In that case, you need to install the plugin manually using FTP.
WordPress is installed in Public_html folder of the web server. All the plugins are installed inside public_html/wp-content/plugins folder.

Step-1: Download and Install FTP client FileZilla
You need to Download Filezilla and installed in your computer.
Step-2: Download WordPress Plugin and Extract it
After installation of FTP client you need to download the plugin on your computer. The plugins file will be in zip file format which needs to be extracted.
Right-click on plugins.zip files and click on Extract Here.
You will see plugin folder extracted from the zip file which needs transfer to your web server in /public_html/wp-content/plugins folder.
Step-3: Transfer using FileZilla
Open FTP client FileZilla and connect using FTP login credentials. If you do not know your FTP account details, you can ask your hosting provider or follow the steps below.
How to Find FTP Accounts login credentials?
When you purchase hosting plan, your hosting provider send you the hosting account details in registered mail. If you cannot find the account details then you can login to the cPanel to get the FTP login details.
Login to the cPanel using www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. Click on FTP Account under Files. Click on Configure FTP Client at the right side to expand. You will see FTP Username, FTP server (Host), FTP port (21) and password is cPanel default password.
After login to the server using FileZilla you will see two sections PC section at the left and Server section at the right.
Double click on public_html then wp-content then plugins folder from server section. Now, Drag plugins folder that you have extracted from PC section and drop the folder to server section.
It will take few minutes to transfer the file to the web server. Login to WordPress Dashboard and hover on Plugins and click on Installed plugins. You will see uploaded plugin in the list. Click on Install then Activate .
